Hometown: Gardner, Kansas
Education: I attend Gardner Edgerton High School in Gardner, Kansas where I am a sophomore. Gardner is a suburb of Kansas City. This is a great place to live. It is small enough that the community really knows and gets behind the school functions, like Friday night football!
Dream Career Path: Part of pageantry is staying fit, and fitness has always been a huge part of my life, so I plan on going to college and double majoring in Exercise Science and Business. My goal is to become a personal trainer and eventually own my own Fitness Center.
Pageant Experience: Some pageant experience I have had before this pageant has been in baton twirling; where a portion of those pageants include modeling. That has been really good experience for participating in the U.S. Runway Teen pageant. When we model in Twirling Pageants, we are required also to be interviewed. This really helped prepare me for being in a pageant of this caliber. I also ran for Rodeo Princess in my county a few years ago and won! Preparing a speech and public interview were required in this pageant as well as modeling, and of course, riding a horse! But all these experiences were so good for me in learning how to be comfortable in front of people, and they were fun! I really like that I get to know other girls, and with twirling, I look for these girls at every competition. It’s like we’re growing up together!
Favorite thing about being involved in pageantry: Of all the experiences I’ve had, the U.S. Runway Teen Pageant has been the most amazing! I loved everything about it. Learning how to model on a runway was fun and wearing a designer’s creation was amazing, not to mention getting to meet the designer! Wow, that was great! The girls in the pageant were so nice, and I really liked getting to know them. I love getting dressed up, all the make up – the BLING! It’s just so much fun! I feel so grateful to get to be involved in the U.S. Runway Teen Pageant; this year is going to be unforgetable!
Favorite fashion trend: My favorite fashion trend right now would have to be Buckle Jeans and my Uggs! I was happy when it finally got cold enough to wear my Uggs! The best part about the jeans and Uggs is that depending on the top, I can be dressed comfortably and casual or I can ‘bling it’ and be a little more trendy.
